So today, after almost exactly four months, the big day finally arrived. Around midday, the FedEx delivery driver rang the doorbell and handed me a package. The packaging was discreet (a FedEx bag on the outside, with a plain box inside). Inside the box was a clear plastic bag containing my new catsuit (powdered).
To make customs processing easier, I had already registered with FedEx and linked my credit card. According to my research, this saves the disbursement fee, which can save you a few bucks.
Unpacking
I took the catsuit out of the bag and laid it on the floor in front of me - and I could already smell the pleasant scent of latex. Naturally, I wanted to try it on right away, but I only had time to quickly put on the legs. In the meantime, I had also bought a lanyard via AliExpress, which I attached to the zipper to make closing the suit easier later. I had also ordered microfiber cloths, but they turned out to be more like small towels and not suitable for polishing latex.
Trying it on
Later that day, I had the time to fully try out the catsuit. First, I gave it a good wash, using pretty warm water to remove any proteins that could potentially cause allergies. I got this tip from the internet, so I’m not sure if it’s actually true.
Afterward, I put silicone oil on my body and put the catsuit on. It took quite a bit of time, of course, since I was being very careful not to make any mistakes or rip it the first time. I probably used too little silicone oil - you definitely shouldn’t skimp on that. Finally, I just had to close the zipper (which wasn’t easy, but much simpler with the lanyard attached).
So there I was, fully dressed in latex. The feeling was unusual, but very pleasant. I had expected it to feel more intense overall, though. There was a gentle pressure all over my body, and as many describe, it felt like a second skin. When moving, you can feel the latex shifting on your skin, and I really like that sensation. I realized that latex really aligns with my interests, and I want to explore the topic further. I don’t think I’ll wear the suit every day, but I do plan to wear it more regularly than rarely.
After about two hours, I took the catsuit off, washed it, and hung it up to dry. I bought a small basin specifically for washing it, to avoid getting silicone oil on other things. Of course, I had to shower afterward, if only to get the silicone oil off my body. From my perspective, that’s one of the main downsides to the suit, but with latex, it’s unfortunately unavoidable.
The complete timeline
- November 30, 2023: Order placed
- December 28, 2023: Pattern making
- March 10, 2024: Assembling and glueing
- March 17, 2024: Quality checking and packing
- March 23, 2024: Shipped
- March 27, 2024: Received
So it took three and a half months for my catsuit to be shipped after ordering.
My impressions of Kink Projects
Overall, I’m really satisfied with the quality from Kink Projects. The fit is really good, though the suit is a bit loose at the ankles. That was probably my own measuring error, not Kink Projects’ fault. The neck and arms are a bit tighter than I’d prefer, but still within an acceptable range. Especially considering the price, I’d definitely recommend Kink Projects, even if the delivery takes several months. You can also ask them about the current delivery timeframe before you order, but keep in mind that they will possibly take a few weeks more than that.
Who knows, maybe I’ll even order another catsuit or other items from Kink Projects at some point - it’s not out of the question. But for now, I’m really happy with what I have.
